综上所述，HBO对龈下厌氧菌有一定的抑制作用，从而对牙周炎起治疗作用；HBO对不同牙周袋袋底厌氧菌的抑制作用不同，对牙周炎牙周袋较浅者袋底的厌氧菌作用强于袋深者，因此对牙周袋较浅者的治疗作用强于深袋者。
